PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii — Starting Jan. 15, 2023, parking at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial will cost $7 per day. The change is in keeping with a request for public feedback on a proposal by the National Park Service made July 30, 2021, according to a press release by the NPS.
The $7 fee was determined by comparing fees of other Oahu sites and other National Park sites.
Revenue generated will support the park’s ongoing maintenance needs and upkeep of the USS Arizona Memorial, as well as the USS Utah and USS Oklahoma memorials, and historic Chief Petty Officer Bungalows on Ford Island. The fee will also fund the cost of operating the parking lots and enhance security, exhibits and technology in reaching out to a wider audience.
Entry into the Pearl Harbor National Memorial and the USS Arizona Memorial program will remain free.
