HONOLULU — In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 17, the modified schedule for the City and County of Honolulu operations is as follows:
Services remaining on-duty include the following:
- Emergency medical services
- Fire
- Lifeguard
- The medical examiner
- Police services
TheBus will operate on a state holiday schedule.

Trash will be collected as usual, and the following services remain open:
- Transfer stations
- Convenience centers
- H-POWER
- The Waimanalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill

The followng are open on Monday:

- All municipal golf courses. Check honolulu.gov/des/golf for revised play information
- Honolulu Zoo
The following are closed on Monday:
- Neal S. Blaisdell Center box office
- People’s Open Markets will not be held
- All satellite city halls and driver licensing centers are closed
The following traffic and parking regulations are in effect on Jan. 17:
- Parking is restricted in Lanikai 10 a.m.-3 p.m. ver the three-day weekend
- All on-street parking is free except for the following: Meters on Kalakaua Avenue along Queen Kapiolani Park, metered parking lots and meters on specific Waikiki streets.
- There will be no contraflow lanes.
