As expected, our next storm system is delivering a soggy weather day for our Tuesday. For most areas in the region, this will be our most significant rain event since August.

Look for rain more often than not today, and then the zone of rain will push eastward with time this evening and tonight.

Rain totals for most will range from 1-3,” so this is a beneficial, soaking rain. This rain will not erase the drought, but it will put a dent in it. And this rain should also greatly help with the wildfire situations.

A little unstable air looks to sneak in from the south by early this evening, and that could allow for a few strong to severe storms to develop. Damaging winds and a brief tornado would be possible in this scenario, and we will watch it closely.

A few lingering scattered showers are possible tomorrow afternoon, and then the Thanksgiving holiday weekend weather looks quiet and nice.
