The town of Pittsford is hosting a PGA family night on Wednesday for those who are looking to get the kids to tap into the historic event at Oak Hill Country Club.
The town and the PGA are creating an event not just for golf fans, but those just discovering the game and in celebration of the thrill of your town hosting a PGA golf major tournament.
The PGA in Pittsford Family Night & Concert is designed to accommodate the busy schedules of local people.
"We expect, frankly, there will be a certain number of people who attend the tournament and then who will come over afterward to enjoy some of the things we have in Pittsford," said Pittsford Town Supervisor Bill Smith.
On Wednesday night at the Pittsford Community Library, families can expect to enjoy live music, the Wanamaker Cup and the PGA Cup. There will also be beer tastings for adults and a putting competition. Fireworks will cap off the night.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m.
