Last year Greece Arcadia carried as many as eight sophomores on their varsity roster. The team finished the year with three wins.
"We had a young group of kids last year and I think they spent a lot of time in the offseason really trying to mold and get to like each other. I think that's come a long way," said Greece Arcadia head coach Tony Streb.
That bonding was especially important for running back K'myn Crumity and his offensive line.
"K'myn is a great player, definitely. I feel like we open up the holes for him and he hits the holes perfectly," said Greece Arcadia senior Nicholas Kalke.
"100% of it is the linemen. I would not be able to do any of this without our linemen," Crumity said.
The Titans already have their sights set on the postseason, a position they haven't been in since 2015.
"That would be telling all of Greece something, if we could pull off something that no one would think we could ever do again. It would be good to prove everybody wrong," Crumity said.
