The Greece Police Department is looking for the suspects they say were caught on camera robbing a jewelry store in the Mall at Greece Ridge.
Police say the surveillance video shows eight masked individuals enter the mall around 6:45 p.m. on Monday. They say six of them proceeded to enter Dubai Jewelry while two of them remained near the entrance.
According to investigators, the suspects range in age from 15 to 25 and wore masks and gloves. The video shows the individuals jumping over the store's counter and using a baseball bat to smash display cases. Approximately $90,000 worth of jewelry was stolen and $3,000 in damage was caused during the robbery, police say.
Investigators say the suspects used the baseball bat again to threaten a mall security officer and threw the bat at another security officer as they were leaving the mall through the food court. No one was reported to have been hurt during the incident.
The suspects fled the scene in a dark Chevrolet Malibu that was later found abandoned on Lang Street in Rochester, according to Greece police.
