CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — The body of a man who was pulled from the water near the shore of Lakefront Park on Monday has been identified.

Canandaigua police say Andrew Cochran, 34, of Canandaigua, and previously of Amherst, was found by police, fire, and EMS crews at around 4:23 p.m. in approximately 2 feet of water.

Police say the victim’s body was transported to Geneva General Hospital where an autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death. Officials believe it to be accidental.
