A free e-recycling event sponsored by Mayor Lovely Warren, Senator Joe Robach, the Rochester City Council and Spectrum was held on Saturday at Capelli Sports Stadium.
It allowed residents to safely dispose unwanted and outdated electronics.
Among the accepted items were laptops, desktops, televisions and printers.
"We don't want people dumping electronics on public land, or private land for that matter. This allows us to do all that, re-purpose some of these materials and really its just good for the environment and good for our community," said Sen. Robach, (R) 56th State Senate District.
For those who couldn't make it to Saturday's event, you can bring your old electronics to the following recycling stations:
- Ecopark, 10 Avion Dr, Rochester, NY 14624
- Maven Technologies LLC, 1450 Lyell Ave # 3, Rochester, NY 14606
- Any of the 150 Sunnking drop off locations in Monroe and surrounding eight counties.
Items containing Freon are prohibited.
