MARION, N.Y. — Wayne County Sheriff's deputies say two are dead after a crash in Marion.

Deputies say it happened shortly after 5 p.m. Monday on Ridge Chapel Road.

Officials say 21-year-old Taylor Christie was driving southbound with his 16-year-old brother Evan Woodward when Christie lost control and hit a tree.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the two were coming home from basketball practice.

Marion Central Schools confirmed Evan was a student in the district, and that Christie was a recent graduate.

It comes less than 24 hours after another fatal crash on the other side of Marion.
