ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- A group of urban development experts from the Rose Center for Public Leadership are in Rochester to help advise city leaders on decisions regarding land use.
The group will focus on Main Street, the Genesee Riverfront, and Broad Street Aqueduct. A walking tour Wednesday morning was a start to help local leaders and stakeholders come up with land use strategies.
"In some ways, there's an advantage to us being an outsider where we can come in and just take a very objective view on what's happening and what the goals are," said Nadine Fogerty, Strategic Economics.
Rose fellows will also interview downtown stakeholders and city leaders, before presenting their suggestions to the public on Friday.
Rochester was one of four cities chosen this year by the Rose Fellowship.
