We are talking about the issues surrounding the 2024 election season this weekend on In Focus.
JoDee Kenney welcomes in Mark Streb, chair of the Rensselaer County Democratic Committee, who touched on the party’s successes in New York, despite the political shift on the national level. In Rensselaer County, Streb said, the political divide is evident throughout the year, most notably in Troy. The city elected a Republican mayor, despite a more than two to one advantage in the number of registered Democrats. Streb also discussed the Democratic party’s mounting a challenge to Republican County Executive Steve McLaughlin, as well as in races for county legislative seats and town-level elections.
You can watch the full interview with Streb above. And be sure to tune in for a look inside the biggest issues impacting upstate New York, on In Focus with JoDee Kenney — every Sunday on Spectrum News 1.
