GREECE, N.Y. — Several Greece apartments are heavily damaged after a fire. 

Lake Shore firefighters found heavy flames coming out of one of the buildings at the Cedar Commons apartments off Ling Road around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Everyone was already outside when firefighters arrived and no one was hurt.  

A woman who lives in the building describes what she saw. 

"It went from the top two buildings, over the top two apartments and spread all the way across the other four apartments combined," said resident Samantha Baldwin. "You could see the vinyl on the side melting, you could see the smoke and the flames getting really heavy so it was generally really terrifying."

The Red Cross is helping the people who can't live in their apartments.
