Brockport murder suspect Holly Colino has been deemed mentally competent to stand trial.
Police say she shot Orleans County mother Megan Dix in the head as she sat in her car during a lunch break on August 25th of last year.
Police said the incident appeared to be a random act of violence and that Colinio and Dix had no prior relationship.
Colino has been held in a psychiatric facility since her original evaluation, in which two doctors deemed her highly intelligent, but not competent.
In court, State Supreme Court Judge Charles Schiano ruled Colino fit to proceed with a trial.
Colino is charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of weapons and escaping the custody of Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
The family of Megan Dix was not in court Tuesday. Colino is being held without bail. She is due back in court on June 4th at 10:30 a.m.
