VICTOR N.Y. – Investigators believe they know who set the blaze at the town of Victor’s well-known Apple Farm on November 4, 2016.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office charged 57-year-old Karen Bahai with felony arson. Investigators have determined that she started the fire.

Officials say Karen is the estranged wife of farm owner and founder Munir Bahai. Munir says that despite falling on hard times, it could be worse. He expects to push forward with the business, deven separating from his wife.

“We suffered a lot financially. Up there, people can see it, and many people don’t think we’re open even,” said Munir.

Following his wife’s court date, he plans to attend for closure and clarification.

“Thursday, there is a grand jury and I’m going there, and I don’t what they are going to tell me, so they think that it’s my wife, but I’m not sure of anything, you know, and at the end of the investigation, I hope it’s not,” said Munir.

Munir says that he built the building in 1976 and it will cost a quarter of a million dollars to get the business back to where it was, but with the support of the community, he says he plans to rebuild.
