LYONS, N.Y. -- He's one of four people Wayne County police say orchestrated a plan to kill a woman for insurance money back in June. Now that murder suspect is accused of punching a jail deputy.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office say 21-year-old Knowledge Couser is facing new charges.

Deputies say during a routine inmate transfer, Couser punched a deputy in the head and then took a swing at another.

He's charged with obstruction and harassment.

Couser is one of four suspects charged in the killing of Julie Martin back in February.

He remains held on his original $25,000 cash bail.
