GREECE, N.Y. — People are already camping out to be the first ones to eat at Rochester's first Chick-fil-A — even though the fast food restaurant on West Ridge Road in Greece doesn't officially open until Thursday.

That's because the first 100 customers in the new store will win free Chick-fil-A for a year.

To get that free food, people had to have registered Wednesday morning and stay on the restaurant's property until the official opening Thursday morning.

Restaurant officials say they will provide food, entertainment and security for people staying outside the store until the grand opening.

The Greece Police Department is sharing its plan for heavy traffic expected for the opening.

Police ask customers to get to Chick-fil-A using Standish Road, from north and west of the new restaurant. Customers will have to leave from Ridgecrest Road to Chesterton Road.

Due to a large expected crowd, there will be additional parking at the Mall at Greece Ridge across the street.
