ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester City Council has taken the next step with the proposed Golisano Arts & Entertainment Complex at Parcel 5 downtown.

With a vote of 8-to-1 Tuesday night, the council approved a study to find out how best to move forward with the project.

Mayor Lovely Warren has claimed the project would create more than 800 jobs.

Plans for the $130 million complex include an IMAX theater, restaurants and a residential tower.

There's no word on how much the study would cost.
