After more than a month, crews in Niagara Falls expect water pressure to be restored Thursday after a month of low pressure and repairs.

The Niagara Falls Water Board says they've now identified the area causing an air release over at Hyde Park and Pine Avenue. Releasing air from the water main drops the pressure inside the system.

Crews are expected to finish repair work on all air releases Thursday, finally restoring full water pressure.

This is in addition to replacing and repairing parts of a water main break that caused headaches last month.

The Water Board also says testing on the water shows it is safe to drink.

The 36-inch break at 47th Street and Niagara Falls Boulevard was discovered before Christmas, disrupting water service to Niagara Falls High School and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for a couple days.
