A Western New Yorker who worked on President Trump's campaign says he's been contacted by Congress about the investigation into the campaign's possible ties to Russia.

Michael Caputo says the House Intelligence Committee asked him for a voluntary interview and for documents that could help its investigation.

A source close to the investigation says Caputo has responded to the committee, saying he had no contact with the Russian government during his six-month tenure with the campaign.

That same source says Caputo would agree to a public hearing and not a private interview.
