Four additional priests from the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo have been placed on administrative leave after new accusations of abuse have come to light.
Rev. Pascal Ipolito, Rev. Daniel Palys, Rev. Roy Herberger and Rev. Robert Stolinski are all retired. The diocese has not released any details about the complaints against them.
In the meantime, the Catholic Diocese has substantiated claims against three priests already on leave: Rev. Samuel Venne, Rev. Arthur Smith and Rev. Dennis Fronczak.
Those priests will remain on administrative leave while the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome reviews in the investigation and makes a final determination.
Allegations against another priest, Rev. Dennis Riter, have not been substantiated. He has returned to active ministry.
Victim's advocates say nearly 70 priests are accused of abusing children in the Buffalo Catholic Diocese.
