BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police confirm a patrol car hit a child on Oneida Street Tuesday evening.

The victim, described as a young boy, ran into the street between parked vehicles when he was struck by a patrol car around 8:30 p.m.

The child's injuries appear non-life-threatening, police confirm.

The Buffalo Police Internal Affairs Division is investigating the incident.

A police spokesperson says the officer was not responding to a call at the time and therefore the lights were not on.
