JAMESTOWN, N.Y. -- A 19-year-old wanted for robbing a cab driver at gunpoint in Buffalo is in jail after leading police in Jamestown on a car chase a week later.

Jamestown Police on Friday arrested Jordan Alexander and charged him with reckless endangerment, unlawful imprisonment and menacing.  Police in Buffalo were already looking for him after multiple incidents, including the armed robbery of a Liberty Cab driver.

Dashboard camera video from the cab showed a male passenger with a gun hold up a female driver near Military Road and Austin Street on March 16.  He got away with $89 in cash and an electronic tablet from the cab company.

A week later, he turned up in Jamestown as part of a high-speed chase that lasted more than an hour.  Police say on Friday they attempted to pull over a vehicle in the city and pursued it through Jamestown, Falconer, Kennedy and back to Jamestown. The chase ended on Stowe Street, where Alexander was arrested.

According to police, Alexander threatened another female driver with a gun and kept her from pulling over. Alexander's relatives alerted authorities he had the gun.

The car involved in Jamestown was not a cab.

Alexander was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail without the possibility of making bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Jamestown City Court on Wednesday.  After that, he could be handed over to the Buffalo Police Department on detainer warrants for the crimes in Erie County.
