BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Would you pay $75,000 for this home? It's an asking price that raised eyebrows in the Ellicott District.

The home, located at 71 Orange Street, has received numerous warnings and citations from the city in the past and was put up for sale on Thursday.

It comes after Buffalo Common Council President, Darius Pridgen, named and shamed the owner for letting several of his Buffalo-owned properties to deteriorate.

Pridgen adds that he feels the move is less about doing the right thing and more about that man dodging major charges in an upcoming housing court appearance.

"It will not stop my efforts for him being in court, unless those houses are sold before August when he goes back to court. If they are sold by August, buyers beware, hopefully it is in the hands of somebody who can handle the rehab financially and get it done quick,” said Pridgen.

Pridgen says he will be at that court appearance to testify on behalf of his district.
