BUFFALO, N.Y. -- They're a pair of chicken-wing eating, Sabres and Bills-watching, craft-beer drinking twenty-something's who have a big goal in mind.

"We want to make Buffalo's new favorite beer," Jonah Epstein and Dillon Joseph said.

Friends and now business partners, Epstein and Joseph are the faces behind MyCity Brew, a brewing company with a community-minded attitude with regard to their brews.

Epstein told us this is a project he's been working on for the last two years.

"With craft beer being so popular nowadays everyone has their opinion and we decided why should we get to choose? And we decided the Buffalo community should choose," said Epstein.

That's right, you can have a hand in designing, testing, and selecting MyCity Brew's beers.

"Through a series of surveys and polls we're posting online we're getting the community's feedback about what beer style they'd like. That process will culminate in a live taste testing event where there will be four brewed beers," Joseph said.

But in order to move forward the duo set up a Kickstarter page, hoping to raise $10,000 by February 5. The money will go towards formulating and brewing those beers, the tasting, and eventually production and warehousing. Epstein and Joseph plan to contract brew their product and hand distribute it to local bars and restaurants.

"We're looking into different brewers in the Buffalo area," Epstein said. "We're currently deciding which brewer/facility is going to best fit our needs."

They'll also roll out "1%BackForBuffalo," where 1 percent their profits will be donated to local charities which, of course, will be voted on by the folks that live here.

"Definitely leaving it open. As with the whole project it's about the community's feedback. We're looking forward to getting that," said Joseph.

"There's so much revitalization and amazing stuff going on," said Epstein. "We want to be a part of the city's revival and making Buffalo the best city it can be."
