We are talking about Emergency Preparedness this weekend on In Focus.

Marisa Jacques sat down with Oswego Mayor Rob Corradino. He spoke about how the parking ban helped clear the roads during a recent massive snowstorm and how having a clear path is critical for emergency vehicles. He also spoke about how the county loaned the city plow equipment it had received from the state. The plow helped push the snow and widen the city's roads.

Corradino also praised city workers for working in 24 hour shifts to deal with the snow. He say with warmer weather on the way, the focus will turn toward pothole repair work. Corradino spoke about what goes into declaring a state of emergency. It is made in conjunction with city hall, the police chief, fire chief and DPW. Corradino says good communication is key to a successful outcome.
