We are talking about ways to support New Yorkers who served in the military this weekend on In Focus. Assemblymember Angelo Santabarbara sat down with JoDee Kenney, recalling his service in the Army Reserves, and inspiration to serve his community. In his home district of Rotterdam, Santabarbara revived AMVETS Post 35 in 2012. The group provides veterans not only a connection with available services, but also a sense of community. In the Assembly, Santabarbara said many of the bills he sponsors address veteran issues, from educational and employment opportunities to entrepreneurship.
