VOORHEESVILLE, N.Y. -- New York State Parks Police were searching John Boyd Thacher State Park for a hiker who hasn’t been seen or heard from since Monday.
According to an agency spokesperson, Bruce Decker of Guilderland was hiking in the Paint Mine section of the park on Monday but did not return. His vehicle, a Ford Mustang, was left in the parking lot and remains there now.
With the help of the Albany County Sheriff’s Office and DEC Forest Rangers, parks police used K-9 dogs and a drone in their search.
Decker is 71, and described as 5-foot-9 with gray hair, last seen wearing gray pants, a black jacket with a plaid scarf and dark boots.
