DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. -- We now know the name of the bank robbery suspect killed by officers in Davidson County.

Salisbury police say 41-year-old Jerick Raheem Gray, a resident of High Point, died Thursday evening after being shot by an officer. They say it all started when Gray robbed First National Bank in Salisbury and led officers on a chase into Thomasville.

He then stopped in the parking lot of the a Hobby Shop where police say he stabbed one of the owners.

Investigators say officers first tried to shock Gray with a stun gun as he still had a knife. When that didn't work, they shot him.

Police say a woman was in the car with Gray, but they are still trying to determine if she was a victim or an accomplice.  She was taken to the hospital with an unrelated medical condition.

Investigators say the owner stabbed is expected to recover.
