Former President Donald Trump will be in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Friday for a town hall event at the Crown Complex, his campaign said in a release.

The event is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. on Oct. 4. Doors open at 4 p.m.

The Republican presidential nominee will "take questions directly from voters, listen to their concerns, and share why his policies will put the working men and women of North Carolina first," his campaign said.

The visit comes as both campaigns are trying win over the state's 16 electoral votes in this year's presidential race. Vice President Kamala Harris has visited North Carolina numerous times this election season, and she last traveled to the Tar Heel state Sept. 12 when she stopped by Charlotte and Greensboro.

Trump last visited North Carolina when he held a rally in Mint Hill on Sept. 25. This will be the first campaign visit by either party's nominee since the remnants of Hurricane Helene ravaged the western portion of the state.

The Crown Complex is located at 1960 Coliseum Drive in Fayetteville.
