A 19-year-old man had a loaded AR-15 rifle in his car while at N.C. State University, according to police. 

Authorities arrested Adam Sulaiman on the university's main campus in Raleigh Sunday, according to a police report. 

Sulaiman was parked on Cates Avenue, which runs through campus, near several big dormitories and Carmichael Gym, officers said.

He had a Palmetto State AR-15 in his car, according to campus police. It is illegal to have a gun on university property.
