CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Part of the Interstate 485 inner loop is closed after a tractor trailer carrying a mobile home crashed late Thursday morning.
The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. near Moores Chapel Road at mile marker 12. The area has been closed for several hours.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation says the area is not expected to reopen until 3:30 p.m.
Medic says four people have been treated for conditions that were not life-threatening.
The NCDOT says drivers should take Exit 10 to I-85 North for 5.5 miles to Exit 34, Freedom Drive, then head north on NC-27 for 6 miles to get back on I-485.
