Burke County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Larry Putnam said, “Bob Acord, John Cansler and Marty Wiseman saved the day on Friday for this group of students. We were happy to be of assistance and thankful that everyone from Sheets Memorial is safely back home. The incident proved to be a minor inconvenience as everyone made it out safe.”
