CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- We'll start our Saturday with some patchy precipitation in the mountains and then some rain across the Piedmont.

Don't look for heavy rain, this will be light rain and drizzle for some.  By early afternoon, we should start noticing drier conditions and some breaks in the clouds.  Saturday evening, most areas will already have clear skies.

Cold air builds across the area as high pressure takes hold. Look for high temps in the upper 50s Sunday. Of interest will be the morning low temps Monday, mid 30s appear likely.

So, some of the coldest air yet this fall season for the Charlotte region.
