CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A clear sky and cold temperatures will impact much of the metro zone and our mountains tonight.

  • Many areas will experience some of the coldest air yet
  • Clouds will build late Friday night with rain then moving across the area Saturday
  • The Piedmont will dip into the mid 30s Monday morning

Many areas will experience some of the coldest air yet this fall season for overnight low temps

Ahead of an advancing cold front, clouds build late Friday night with rain then moving across the area Saturday morning through early Saturday afternoon.  Once the boundary is East, and out, we'll clear out Saturday night and Sunday looks sunny and cool.

Much of next week is trending on the drier and "seasonal" side of life. Monday morning, the Piedmont will dip into the mid 30s with below freezing temperatures expected in the High Country.
