Tropical Storm Michael will continue to have impacts in our state this afternoon. The eastern half of the state will see the worst of it now with heavy rain and winds gusting over 40 mph. There is also a tornado threat with a Tornado Watch in effect for the eastern half of the state. Stay with Spectrum News all day as we track Michael. We will have extended weather coverage all day, especially if any tornado warnings are issued. The storm will move offshore later this evening. After that, conditions will improve dramatically with sunshine and plesantly cooler weather for Friday and the weekend.
