CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A Charlotte hot dog stand recently got a big honor.
- Money Magazine and Yelp named the Chili Man in uptown Charlotte the best place in the country to get a hot dog
- The Chili Man has a number of different hot dogs including the Frito Pie dog, The Life Changer and The Elvis
- The Chili Man is also known for his volunteer work in the community
Money Magazine and Yelp named the Chili Man in uptown Charlotte the best place in the country to get a hot dog.
It comes at a good time since Wednesday was National Hot Dog Day.
The Chili Man has a number of different hot dogs including the Frito Pie dog, The Life Changer and The Elvis.
“You've made a decision, you've worked for something and then you're nationally recognized. I could retire now,” said the Chili Man Owner Victor Werany. “I've been recognized on the national stage. That's crazy.”
The Chili Man is also known for his volunteer work in the community.
His cart is located on South Tryon near Fourth Street.
