Alberto is heading for the western panhandle region of Florida. It will make landfall on Memorial Day around lunch time with winds as high as 60 mph. Wind will not be the biggest issue though. Heavy rain and flooding will be the main threat for much of the deep south, including the Carolina's. A "Flash Flood Watch" is in effect for all of us until Tuesday morning at least. Models are estimating we could see as much as 3 inches of rain through Wednesday with more scattered storms possible through the weekend. Enjoy your Memorial Day but please be safe and watch for flooding.
