NORTH CAROLINA -- Following the death of the late Reverend Billy Graham earlier this year, there is now a newly formed committee in place that will work on getting a statue of Graham at the U.S. Capitol.

  • Four members on the committee
  • Legislation passed in 2015 to have one of the statues replaced with one of Graham
  • Graham's statue will replace former Gov. Charles Aycock

There are four members on the committee including Representative Robert Pittenger.

Back in 2015, legislation was passed giving the committee the chance to replace one of North Carolina's statues in the National Statuary Hall with one of Billy Graham.

Graham's statue will replace one of former Governor Charles Aycock.
