CONCORD, N.C. -- Reaction is mixed to a 60 Minutes segment on Sunday night that suggested the airline that operates commercial flights at the Concord-Padgett Airport in Concord followed unsafe practices.

In a statement, Allegiant Airlines called the segment a false, one-sided narrative, saying:  “To suggest that Allegiant would engage in the practice of asking team members to violate company and regulatory obligations is offensive and defamatory."

While some passengers expressed concern, others said they're not worried.

"I’ve flown Allegiant a half a dozen times. It’s been great. It’s been fine each time I’ve flown and without seeing the facts, they tend to over dramatize things at times so until I know more of the facts I wasn’t concerned,” said passenger Michael Stier.

In a statement, the city of Concord said the FAA and TSA requirements for security and safety must be met and the city works closely with Allegiant to prepare should the worst happen.
