Now just days away from Thanksgiving, many across North Carolina are hitting the roads for holiday travel.

For those heading out on the highways, there shouldn't be any problems regarding weather over the next several days.

After a cold start Monday, cool high pressure moving in atop the Carolinas will result in a beautiful, but cool, fall day featuring plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 50s for the Piedmont.

As the center of high pressure moves offshore tonight, southerly flow will make a comeback for Tuesday, allowing a bit more moisture to seep in across the area.

This will translate to more cloud cover along with a slim chance of seeing a few sprinkles later on in the day.

Other than that, the rest of the week will be virtually rain-free with temperatures hovering at or below average.
