It will feel like winter tonight as a blustery wind cranks up out of the northwest. Wind Chill temps will be in the 20s and low 30s just before daybreak tomorrow. Freeze warnings have been posted overnight for parts of the Piedmont, Triad and Foothills. There is also a wind advisory for the northwestern Triad and the foothills. Wind gusts will reach 55 mph at times through today and early Monday morning.

After a chilly start to the workweek we will see a big warm-up with well above average temps coming our way by midweek into late-week. Mid to upper 70s with increasing rain chances as we get into next week.

Tropical Storm Philippe will continue to move away from the U.S. mainland and out to sea after brushing the south Florida coast. At most there will be rip currents and high surf along the Carolina beaches.
