NORTH CAROLINA -- As fall temperatures move into North Carolina, something less appealing might be moving into your home!

As temperatures are getting colder, rodents are now looking for places to spend the winter.

Two North Carolina cities have made Orkin's 2017 "Top 50 Rattiest Cities" list; Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham.

Charlotte was ranked the 28th "rattiest" city in the United States, and Raleigh-Durham was ranked 33rd.

Compared to last year's list, however, it would appear that both cities have improved!

In 2016, Charlotte was the 27th "rattiest" and Raleigh-Durham was the 22nd.

So it would appear that Charlotte has passed Raleigh for the "rattiest" city in North Carolina.
