CHARLOTTE -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a shooting in east Charlotte in which a bullet hit a school bus window.

It happened just after 7:30 a.m. Thursday while two people were shooting at each other near the intersection of Parkwood Avenue and the Plaza

The bus was heading to a charter school called the Charlotte Lab School.

The bus driver was hit by glass but not badly hurt.

No children were hurt.

The Charlotte Lab Schools sent an email to parents notifying them about the shooting.

A second vehicle was also struck and damaged but the driver was not injured. 

No arrests have been made.
