Cosmetology Students Raise Money for Statewide Competition

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. - Cosmetology students are cutting their way to a statewide competition.

This full service salon is inside North Mecklenburg High School.

"We actually operate a full service salon every Thursday and one Saturday a month. We call it the finishing touch salon. So we are here offering hair care services, nail care services and skin care services," Instructor Melissa Prickett said.

Saturday’s styles raised money for the students to compete with other schools through the Skills USA program.
