Legislative Republicans say they are disappointed with how Secretary of State Elaine Marshall and Attorney General Josh Stein comment on proposed amendments.

Rep. David Lewis, who writes election policy in the state House, says Sec. Marshall and AG Stein were overly political in their comments about the amendments at the meeting of the amendment commission on Tuesday.

Legislative Republican leadership called a special session to change how the ballot captions for constitutional amendments, citing concerns about partisanship.
