NORTH CAROLINA -- Republicans continue to lose ground in the state’s urban areas. This is especially true in Wake and Mecklenburg Counties.

Charlotte city councilman Tariq Bokhari has noticed this as well and recently wrote an op-ed talking about what he thinks Republicans need to do to win over these urban voters.

Some say it’s about time a Republican is taking his positions while others claim he is not a true conservative.

Bokhari and fellow council member Larken Egleston joined us to talk about the evolving political scene in our state’s urban counties.
