It stays cool and cloudy across much of New England this week with below normal temperatures and only brief peeks of sun.

Cloudy and gloomy conditions continue today. Onshore winds could bring some sprinkles and patchy drizzle as highs top out around the mid-50s.

Lows drop into the mid-40s tonight with showers.

Higher rain chances return Thursday as a late-season nor’easter brings cold rain and gusty winds. The system brings rain and gusty winds to New England Thursday and early Friday with temperatures dropping 10 to 20 degrees below normal. Highs will only be in the 50s and 60s.

Winds could gust up to 30 to 40 mph as the system passes offshore, with stronger winds toward the coast.

Scattered showers linger late Friday into the weekend, but main impacts are likely late Thursday and early Friday.

Sunshine and warmer temperatures return Sunday into Memorial Day.
