For years, many politicians have feared fallout from revealing their personal mental health challenges, but health experts say that is changing.
Judge Lina Hidalgo is the top elected official of Harris County - the third largest county in the U.S. She was the first woman and the first Latina to be elected to that office.
Hidalgo is also among the growing number of elected officials who have stepped away from public service to address mental health challenges.
