TEXAS — Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Austin, is nearing the end of his term as the chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, but he is not ready to give it up yet. McCaul is seeking a waiver to continue serving beyond the six-year term limit.

“It’s not about me. I put the nation above myself. I just feel that this is such a volatile time,” he said in an interview on Capital Tonight. “I do think it would be in the best interest of the next administration and the nation to have that continuity, especially right now when you have so many troubled spots.”

Rep. McCaul also discussed the NATO summit and his ongoing support for Ukraine. Click the video link above to watch our full interview.
