CARROLLTON, Texas — Paris Bradley sets the tone for the Hebron girls basketball team.
“My strength is definitely my defense and my athleticism,” Bradley said.
The senior point guard helped her team to a second-consecutive 30-win season. The Hawks were ranked No. 2 in Class 6A in the final girls basketball rankings before the playoffs began.
“Knowing that this is our last year has really allowed us to really embrace the time that we spend here,” Bradley said about her teammates. “We love to hype each other up. We love to make each other feel comfortable. We love to have fun.”
Bradley said she developed a passion for basketball in eighth grade, realizing she had a future in the sport.
“That’s when I really started putting in the extra time where my parents didn’t have to tell me to go get up and do stuff anymore,” Bradley said.
Bradley is one of multiple future Division-I players on the roster for Hebron. She’s committed to play at Louisiana Tech next season for coach Brooke Stoehr.
“I feel like we kind of hit it off,” said Bradley about the connection with Stoehr. “I wanted to make sure the coach had a good philosophy for basketball that I like to play. Strong defense, fast offense and pushing the ball.”
